i will give you a break too. and vote 10. and 5/5. this is because you are new and need some support. however, I must emphasise you take in and fully absorb all the information that the reviewer below (mkie nedachi) has said. Newgrounds people are very responsive, in a bad way. They say what they think. and they WONT be gentle. post music that you are SURE is worth the time of someone listening too. If you are not sure about a song. Dont post it. Ask someone else on NG to listen to it privately. then ask them for how to improve.
I myself am a musician too. and i understand basic musical structure, harmonics and melodics. though you have no idea what they are, you should find out. As you dont just need to understand your FL studios, to make good music. You need ot understand music itself.
please PM me for any info you may need. :D

P.S. your music needs improvement.
it has several riffs playing out of key to eachother, and clashes.
I do like the beat though.
Try adding more DIFFERENT things to it.
whether they be instruments, NEW riffs or a new rhythm.
Well done on your first try. and look after your self here.

Thoraxglycerin responds:

Will do it, too! :D

it was right in front of me! lol

QUITE A CLASSICAL PIECE. i was whining that you should try produciing a classical piece. but this is lovely. and will suffice for me.
I love it. I love it i love it. SO unusual. and weirdly appropriate for odd games.
Your use of that Oriental instrument is great. I love it all. It reminds me a bit of spyro the dragon. :D JOLLY GOOD SHOW! very impressed. More layers are always a good thing. It could be thickened out a bit more with other instruments. (obviously fitting to the other instruments.) well done mr scientist! 10/10 5/5. and Favourited

SFaPiL2 responds:

Thank you very much :o).

I have to admit this was one of my newest creations, therefore it was a little more refined than my usual old submittions. However, it wasn't too serious because I didn't have enough time to create it [ I was supposed to study for an exam ;o) ].

Thank you VERY much for the awesome scores + favourite!

everything is great! excluding the tamberine...

tamberines are the oldest trick in the dance book. and they are awful LOL. next it is claps though. so avoid those to. :D

Anyways! i love this piece. If it had no tamberines, it would be in my favourites. seriously.
I love your synths. and your harmonics in this piece are truly epic. Veyr unusual. VERY sci fi! you have some good ideas. none the less I am still waiting for you to produce a classical piece!

SFaPiL2 responds:

LOL. Yeah, I must agree. When I heard this song after a few days I noticed a few problems and one of these was that the tamberine had NOTHING to do with Sci-Fi.

"you have some good ideas" :
Thanks! The problem is that what I have in mind sometimes seems pretty cool, but then I have problems in creating it EXACTLY. Maybe one day I'll be able to ;o).

oh.

sorry. i do not like this one. I like the idea of the pitch bend in the guitar synth. but i do not like the feel of this piece. it sounds very simple for you.
Im a sad bunny! :b
perhaps to improve make additions with other instruments. You appear to have an understanding of melodics and harmonics. Why not try for an orchestral piece. When you have done it. I would love to hear it! :D

SFaPiL2 responds:

No problem. I really appreciate honest reviews.

Thank you very much for the "understanding in melodics and harmonics"! I have no real musical background so this is quite flattering to me ;o).

I'm VERY interested in doing something more "orchestral", but I don't think I have enough knowledge. I might give it a try, though.

Cheers

i see LOL. are you a physicist?

very unusual. certainly has that "out their" feel. impressing the idea of space and time very well i say. Jolly good show!
again, a little repetitive. not to heavy on the trance idea though. its more of a chillin dance tune. :D which i love so no problems there! Perhaps to help you capture the idea of time and space, you could add better delays or heavier reverbs to symbolise these things. also maybe some odd sounds thrown in their.
It is quite " out their" as i said. But it could definately improve. LOL. thanks alot for this. :D

SFaPiL2 responds:

Hmm... focus on delays and reverbs. Ok :o).

Yeah, I understand what you mean with the "odd sounds thrown in there" part, but I'm always afraid that I make a song become cheesy.

"thanks alot for this :D" <- thanks alot for your review ;o)

hm...(interested-sounding "hm")

very chillin. yet again! lol. maybe you dont need alot in this song. minimalism etc is always good. :D im enjoyin it very much. I like the intro. but unfortunately my speakers are busted! so they kept fuzzing when it got good! none the less. you are not deducted anything for that reason :D
What you have is lovely. Truly moody and atmospheric. lovely mixture of instruments too :D well done.
P.S. chord changes could...well.... Change more.

SFaPiL2 responds:

More chord changes... got it ;o). It shouldn't be too hard I think. Thanks!

TRULY UNUSUAL!

weirdness and random.....if this song was a person, it would be a weird and random person who likes making songs about weird and random things lol.
But no. very unusual approach. i am unsure of its genre. and its holds many odd dischords, which empower the piece with energy. truly a Splendid piece. Perfect for animations about electronics and mechanical things. IDEAL! infact! jolly spiffing marvellous old chap! well done! and the fade at the end is great! it washes out really nicely, washing off the listeners musical pallete. refreshing and original. GOOD JOB! make more!

Timraband responds:

Thank you very much man.

Thanks for the support in this tough times. :P New channel, new songs, no scores, no fans, no nothing, but we'll get through it all. Thank you again for all the support.

LOL

you appear to be having a right "sexy time" with that guitar. fucking awesome. and the dramatic change... wow! nice addition. :D really adds a mood. well done on this one. georgious reverb on that guitar too. infact... send me that guitar or at least some pictures of it...if you know what i mean! LOLOL! na... seriously, good tunage...
P.S i like reviews! especially on my voice acting. :D;D:D 5/5 effort sir!

GronmonSE responds:

She's got some curves alright!

Shame it's a digital guitar and that the ESP is ugly anyway :P

Thanks for the review, working on a review for you as I type this.

um....lol

i am so sorry for this score. Despite the fat i love the instruments, and the drum beats wicked Punch, i cant get my head around the poor structure. it has several melodies, which is great.. unfortunately they are all in a different key to eachother. making them all clash and sound awful. I am however interested in what it would sound like if all the melodies where in the right keys... have a think and give it a go! i am sure it could be wicked. P.S. 4.13 ONWARDS ITS IN KEY... and good. its the first 4 mins that i struggled to get through. Good effort. :D

DJjagen responds:

k ty for the advice. :)

very nice. :D

its digital then. lol. unless you take your instruments home LOL. very groovy. a bit samba meets Ragoo. lol. easy listening. Yes the flow is a bit poor, but none the less, the indivudual rhythms are great. and well constructed. you may be my one of my next composers for my new project. :D

rockyace42 responds:

Sweet, man!

i love cartoons more than you. they're totally Bonerific :D:D:D
