this is not very original

HOWEVER... i do like this, particularly the melody. it sounds very "electric bounce" This is not a bad song. it difenately has a comp game feel to it. to improve, additions can be made. Such as more backing sounds. or additional melodies. Also. this is quite a happy composition. Try dramatically changing the mood to angry for a few bars...just for something different.. then change back to your main melody. This will keep it original and interesting. My fav. bit is the beggining instrument. "bells" i think it is. well done :D p.s. 5/5

Ozzy93 responds:

yes this doesnt have much "Backing" cause i want to have focus on the pulse(important 4 the dance).

yes angry is a good choice, ill se what i can do.

and the beginning instrument is Dream bells(a Sytrus preset) :)

LOL

isnt this from a scene off of Gremlins? i like it. gremlins... its good. gremlins may have 10 points.

InstantClassic22 responds:

Thanks for the High Score. Now that i do think about it. It does somewat sound like the Gremlins in a way.

WICK WICK WICK!

Meaty. LOL

its got a punch to it. good style. and really appropriate for games. definately.
and i personally admire the use of the square waves in this piece. just a dash here and their lol. but add a real zing to it all. :D really jazzy too. oh.. and have you heard of orbital? its well banging. and just up your alley! check it out on you-tube. real Mystique and unfamiliarity about it. very individual and unsual.:D truly entertaining.
nothing wrong with this piece, harmonically, melodically... i like the base... :D gd gd job dude. and CHIN UP! you can totally jam with me on this song!

Bangage!
well smart. ;D

Timraband responds:

THANKS A LOT FOR THE REVIEW!

I'm starting over on the right foot, I can tell. :)

dish out the reviews!

quite a nice idea. good chord progression, certainly reflects upon the purpose of this piece. repetitiveness is not neccesarily a good thing though. originality, something to make your music that much different to everyone elses. that way people want YOUR music more. more reviews. more points. more votes etc. so spend MORE time. nice piano... i hear some tinny ones here. but yours is "ok". try velocity changes. ( i repeat to another) lol. Digital pianos are more realistic when the velocity is changed. for instance. the strength of the note is based upon how hard you push it. this is to electronic. if you want to see what i mean go to my blog and check out "lost" for karen. you will see what i mean about pianos being realistic. P.S. yes. my piano is digital. probly the same preset as you. just harnessed in a different way. :D happy composing.

Catstuffer responds:

I'm using FL keys with the hardness turned to mby 40%... no other effects on it. Thanks for your thoughts. As a main menu theme... the piece doesn't need to be more then 20 seconds... (unless you enjoy waiting at menus...) Thanks for the piano tips. I will try to make more adjustments in the future.

bangin'

whiney and slightly annoying. non the less. quite refreshingn and original. reminds me of the english TV game "fun house" LOL

AEPfx responds:

thx

Inspiration huh.

when we here or see something particularly compelling.. wel relate to it. thus causing feelings of joy which can causethe spurting of new ideas. but this is only because we relate to the thing which inspires us... it acts merely as a medium with which to channel our selves... Your inspiration is already in you. you just arent looking hard enough.
P.S. im here till thursday for any other after school specials.
P.S. the song is okay.

FairSquare responds:

If you read my comments, you can see that it's not a lack of inspiration alone :P
Anyway, thanks for the review!

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LoL HAHAHAHA

i hate fighting games. but i am really good at them! yayness!
gd job. captured it all perfectly. :D well done.

Liau responds:

:D thanks!

idea nice. not executed to well tho.

the piece is quite clashy and fuzzy. not in the sense of distortion. but rather the instruments sound like they are struggling to be louder than eachother.
I like the quick break between melodies too. very dramatic. nice idea. good work. very "timberland"

theBrownOne responds:

yea i need more mixing experience.
I focused on finding complimentary sounds/ layering the instruments more than anything...
but thanks a lot for the review!
I may put some more work into it but im focusing on some electronic pop stuff now.

i love cartoons more than you. they're totally Bonerific :D:D:D
